Travel Basketball
UTBA travel teams participate in the Cape Shore Basketball League, competing against local teams in Cape and Atlantic counties. Teams are chosen through a tryout process and are divided by grade.
SCHOOL GRADE
Eligible players must be in grades 3rd-8th. Proof of grade may be required.
Practices
Travel: 2 practices per week; days/times/location to be determined by the travel coach.
TRYOUTS
Travel teams will hold tryouts OCTOBER 15th-18th. Rosters will be released within a week after the tryout.
*Players who do not make a travel roster are encouraged to participate in the rec program. You will receive a full refund and be able to enter a separate registration for rec.
LOCATIONS
Practices are held at 1 of the 3 UT public schools or at the township community center.
Games within the South Shore Basketball League are played at various gyms throughout Cape May and Atlantic Counties. Details on locations will be provided in participant's schedule.
SEASON
The travel season starts in December and continues through March.
Each travel team has the option to compete in 2 tournaments, paid for by the UTBA. Any additional tournaments are paid for by the team.
REGISTRATION FEE
Cost is $125, uniform NOT included.
NEW POLICY: Each player is now responsible for purchasing their travel uniform. Estimated cost: $125. Ordering instructions to be provided once travel rosters are complete.

Registration is now CLOSED for the 2024/2025 travel basketball season.
