Coaching Information

Closer to the season, we will be having a meeting for ALL Coaches. At this meeting, we will go over the rules of the program, give you your rosters and review coverage for the practice times. This meeting is a requirement, so we need you to make every effort to attend. We realize you are volunteering, and we appreciate that, but we also want to make sure to get this meeting taken care of before the season gets started.

Prior to our meeting, we want to make sure you get the ball rolling on any necessary certifications needed to coach in our program. The Township has been getting more and more strict with compliance, so we wanted to share with you what steps you need to take, so you can begin the process. You will need to complete and submit the steps required on the attachments, then submit the supporting documents to Larry Cole at lcole@uppertownship.com

The attachments are pretty clear and shows you exactly what you have to do and in what intervals. Everyone who plans on coaching needs to be sure they take all of the required courses and get fingerprinted every 3 years. Any costs that are incurred, can be submitted to Larry Cole, and he will submit for reimbursement.

As of 11/16/2022, the Township also requires each coach to obtain a Child Endangerment Certification.

If you have any questions, please reach out to us at upper.bball@gmail.com.
